Aaron Siegel is a University of Georgia graduate, who started Home Team BBQ in 2006 after completing culinary school at The Culinary Institute of America in New York. Home Team is now comprised of 7 restaurants in both the low country and upstate of South Carolina, and with a location in Aspen, CO. If you have not been to Home Team, go check them out as it's my favorite BBQ spot, hands down.
I was excited to speak with Aaron to get the backstory on his life, and we discuss the numerous charitable organizations that his team supports, which brings a true embodiment to the philosophy that is 'Home Team'.
